Cultural activities are not the only attraction Ferrol offers. The nightlife in Ferrol is also worth mentioning. This city has a wide variety of venues, where you can enjoy nightlife at its best.

People start the night at around 9 o’clock with the typical ‘tapas’. At this time ‘mesones’, bars and cafés in ‘Sol’ and ‘Maria’ street are full of people. La ‘Calle Nueva de Caranza’ also offers a variety of bars and restaurants where you can enjoy a good night out.

El barrio de la Magdalena offers the quieter side of  Ferrol. Here, people can sit and chat or listen to good music. Live music and other events are very common during week nights. In summer it is more common to sit in one of the terraces near the harbour. The incredible sea views make it an ideal place to drink some of the best wines of Spain. From here you will be able to get the boat which will take you to Mugardos, a well known fishing town for its ‘pulpo a la mugardesa’.

But it is around midnight when the real nightlife begins. Pubs and other premises in ‘La Calle del Sol’ and Amboage Square offer music and drinks. The new part of the city, ‘El Ensanche’, is another good place to continue a good night out.

The closing point are the afterhours in the surrounding areas, which gather people from all around. Not far from Ferrol,’ La Carretera de Castilla’, in Narón, also offers a wide variety of bars, clubs and pubs worth visiting.

The local festivities are another main attraction of the city, mainly during the summer months.
